Deadline for e-poster and pdf presentation sending

We gently remind authors that when submitting your abstract, you agree that the abstract and the corresponding poster/presentation, which you are going to show during IPVS&ESPHM 2024, become subsequently available online at the organizers’ discretion.

Both e-posters and PDF presentations will be available on the ESPHM virtual platform starting from June 4, 2024. For this reason those with accepted abstracts are requested to provide the relevant PDF files within May 20, 2024.

Authors will receive an email by our official platform partner (CYIM) with all the instructions.
They will have the chance to replace an already submitted presentation until May 21, 2024.
After that the latest version uploaded will be considered final and it will not be possible to make any further amendments.

The online registration and payment settlement of the presenting author is required within the deadline, otherwise the abstract will not be published in the abstract book even if accepted.
If you have requests regarding the registration process, please contact [email protected]

Presentation of the accepted abstracts

ORAL PRESENTATIONS and FLASH TALKS included in the Scientific Programme
CHAIRED POSTER PRESENTATIONS: the International Scientific Committee will make a selection of posters for Chaired Poster Presentation Sessions during the lunch breaks.
POSTER DISPLAY during the breaks: posters will be presented as e-posters. All the registered participants will be able to access them during the Conference through e-posters stations or online through the ESPHM platform.
Authors will have also the chance to prepare and display a paper version of the posters. This option can be selected during the submission process: a reconfirmation of the possibility to display the poster in a paper version will be reconfirmed in the notification letters.

Abstract review process

Guidelines for abstract evaluation

All abstracts will be evaluated by two different and independent reviewers, who are members of the International Scientific Committee.

Steps in the review process

Reviewers evaluate each abstracts for both scientific quality and practical implications by scoring them on a 1 to 10 scale for each of the two parameters (1 = very low, 10 = very high). In conclusion, abstracts can receive a minimum of 4 points and a maximum of 40 points in total.
Reviewers make recommendations whether abstracts should be accepted as oral communication, flash poster presentation or poster.
Reviewers also make recommendations regarding the final conclusion among these options: accepted, minor revision, major revision, rejected.

Selection procedure of ORAL presentation

1. Abstracts are ranked top to the bottom within each topic according to their total score (40 to 4 points) and filled into the slots of the particular session; usually there are 6 slots available per session.

2. Selection as ‘oral presentation’ only, if not both reviewers recommend the abstract for ‘poster’.

3. Selection as ‘poster’, if the same author has already an oral presentation in the same or another session.

Selection procedure of POSTER FLASH TALKS presentation

1. Abstracts proposed for oral presentations or flash talk presentation and not selected as oral presentation are ranked top to the bottom according to their total score (40 to 4 points).

2. Selection from top to the bottom as ‘poster flash talk’, if not both reviewers recommend the abstract for ‘poster’.

3. Selection as ‘poster’, if the same author has already an oral presentation or poster flash talk in the same or another session
